3. Water was precious growing up.

Alan Jackson's dad was a mechanic for Ford, but the house he spent his early years in was rustic. It began as just a tool shed and didn't have running water. Jackson says he didn't know better, as it was a fairly tight community full of family members back then. Eventually, he began to pick up jobs of his own and earned enough money to buy a guitar or two and a few nice cars.
