The 2011 Billboard Music Awards nominees have been announced. Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum lead the way for country artists, racking up several nominations each. Sugarland, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney were also honored with nominations, amongst nods for several other country musicians.

The BMAs, which feature 46 categories, are back after a several year hiatus, and they call out artists based on actual sales figures and social media statistics.

The winners will be announced at the Billboard Music Awards show airing live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 8PM ET. Keith Urban and Lady A are set to perform live at the show.
