The 2012 CMT Music Awards are all about celebrating music videos, but with any high-profile red carpet comes highs (and lows) in fashion. Country stars can look just as great glamming it up or dressing down, but several of the worst dressed folks who attended the ceremony just didn't hit the mark with their red carpet looks. Some of these artists are country favorites, but hey -- everyone has a bad day. Flip through the worst dressed pictures above, scan through our commentary below and let us know in the comments section if you agree with our style breakdown.

Rascal Flatts: They may have their own clothing line in the works, but that alleged eye for fashion certainly did not translate well on the 2012 CMT Music Awards red carpet. If they modeled those jackets for us in a dressing room, we'd have advised stepping away and putting them back on the rack. The overall muted sheen of their strangely coordinated looks makes it difficult to tell where each Flatt begins and ends.

Sara Evans: The 'A Little Bit Stronger' songstress is beautiful, and she's got killer legs. There's no denying either of those statements. Here, though, we're too distracted by the shimmery shower curtain she seems to be sporting to pay much attention to her assets. The sarong tie on her hip tops off an already unflattering piece. But we'll throw another compliment her way: That clutch does provide a nice pop of color.

Scotty McCreery: While he certainly wasn't the worst dressed on the red carpet, he makes our list because we know he could do better. Denim on denim can be done, if it's done right -- but those shades of blue just don't work. If you're still having 'Trouble With Girls,' Scotty, just ditch the faded jacket. You won't need it when you're crooning under the hot stage lights, anyway.

Laura Bell Bundy: It's unclear what kind of look the singer-actress was trying to channel with this fitted bodice/poofy mini skirt combo. The top of the dress brings to mind a peacock, the bottom a ballerina. If this were a children's dance recital rather than the 2012 CMT Music Awards, she might fit right in. We'd have rather seen her 'Giddy On Up' with a fitted gown and a classy updo.

Ronnie Dunn: He's talented, well-spoken and usually well-dressed (you can't knock a classic black button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up -- we want to see that tattoo!), but this jacket is unfortunate. It looks designer-expensive yet comfortable at the same time, but the distressed leather is a terrible shade of, well -- we're not sure what color that actually is. In all fairness, it might look nicer in person without the harsh glare of a camera lens.
