Music's biggest event of the year is fast approaching, and you won't want to miss one minute of it. So what time do the 2012 Grammys start?

The stars will be expected to be in their seats -- which means you should be, too -- by the start of the awards show at 8PM ET on Feb. 12. By then, the red carpet will be a ghost town and music's most iconic will be in their places, ready to deliver 2012's most-watched event.

While the 2012 Grammy Awards ceremony is open to all genres, country artists won't be left out in the 'cold' outside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift are lined up to perform, as are Blake Shelton and the Band Perry, who will join Glen Campbell on the stage. Additionally, Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley will have the honor of presenting, while Aldean, Swift, Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride and several other big country names will sit on pins and needles waiting to hear whether they've won gramophones.

Again, the 2012 Grammys will air on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8PM ET -- only on CBS. As for how long they'll be on, well, just be prepared to keep your couch warm for three hours, give or take. Awards shows are terribly unpredictable, and this year's showing promises to be equally as so.
