Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton will be country's most nominated artists at the 2016 Grammy Awards in February. Both scored all-genre nominations in addition to nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Song.

Their nominations won't come as a surprise to anyone who watched the 2015 CMA Awards, when Stapleton and Little Big Town won three awards each. LBT's "Girl Crush" is up for three awards at the 2016 Grammys, including all-genre Song of the Year. Stapleton's Traveller album is up for all-genre Album of the Year as well as Best Country Album. The title track also notched two nominations.

Other country stars with multiple Grammy noms include Sam Hunt (Best New Artist, all-genre and Best Country Album), Lee Ann Womack (Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance) and Ashley Monroe (Best Country Album, Best Country Duo / Group Performance for "Lonely Tonight" with Blake Shelton).
