Rachel Potter is a familiar face and familiar voice to many, and when you're through listening to her new Not So Black and White album, you may figure out why you know her. Or you'll listen to this ToC exclusive stream and enjoy her for the first time.

The country-pop singer showcases her big voice and variety of influences on the 13 songs that make up Not So Black and White, available now at iTunes. She says those like the title track, "Zero to Sixty" and "Moon Over Nashville" are a "snapshot of her life."

"My heartbreaks, triumphs, inspirations and challenges, it’s all in there," Potter tells Taste of Country. "I hope that this music encourages those who hear it to know they’re not alone, and that we’re all just figuring this life-thing out together."

Potter is new to country music fans, but she is a familiar face on Broadway. The Florida-raised singer starred as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family before taking the role as the Mistress in Broadway’s Evita.

A spot on Season 3 of The X Factor got her on television and in front of well-known judge/critic Simon Cowell. Since the show wrapped, she’s been working hard toward her new album. As a Nashville resident, Potter is fully aware of what it takes to realize your dream, and she hopes her music can inspire.

"This album is dedicated to all who are trying to find their way and their voice in a world that is 'Not So Black and White,'" she says. "May you love in the face of hate, stare down your fears, and never forget that the beauty is in the gray."

Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Rascal Flatts are among her various influences. You may hear a taste of each while streaming Not So Black and White here through March 4. Potter is due to officially release the album via a release show on Monday at NYC's Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2.
