Covering a Loretta Lynn song takes a lot of courage, and one 15-year-old proved she had what it took during Monday night's (March 2) episode of The Voice. Kelsie May took the stage during the Blind Auditions, wowing the judges with her version of "You're Lookin' at Country."

May was the epitome confidence and poise in a lacy, cream dress paired with a side braid. She exuded country in her brown leather cowboy boots, already intriguing the judges before even opening her mouth. Before making his decision, Blake Shelton closed his eyes and intently listened to May's singing, while Christina Aguilera, an unlikely country fan, seemed instantly impressed.

"She's dope," Pharrell says in the clip while May is still singing the Lynn tune.

A minute into the song — which likely felt like an eternity for May — Shelton hit his red button and turned his chair. The teen's family jumped for joy backstage. Pharell and Aguilera, both noticing what Shelton did, pushed their buttons simultaneously. Adam Levine, on the other hand, wasn't feeling it and didn't choose to fight for the country singer.

"Blake will have a lot of country artists on his team and I would love for you to represent country on my team," Aguilera told May. "I just don't want you to get lost in the shuffle."

Even though she had some wise fighting words to help the hopefuly make her decision, Aguilera didn't win. Once again, another country act went to the one and only Team Blake Shelton.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
