Brett Eldredge’s Sexy ‘Lose My Mind’ Video Was His Brainchild

Brett Eldredge's "Lose My Mind" video is downright sexy — and it was all his idea! Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex caught up with the country star, who dished on the inspiration behind the visual.

The video shows Eldredge in a straightjacket in the arms of one super hot nurse. The video actually premiered during the ACM Awards on one of their many Jumbotrons, but was released online days later. Eldredge says the idea came to him while he was on an airplane.

“I have a crazy thought process in my mind, and I think of random stuff on airplanes because I get really bored," he explains. "I drew the whole script and thought, 'Why don’t I get in a straight jacket?'"

"I’m already half crazy most of the time anyway, and just kind of tell my story about how I keep seeing this girl ... Is she there or is she not? I can’t escape her no matter I do," Eldredge adds. "She consumes my thoughts, and in the end you find out that I might just actually be holding on to a mop and running my fingers through it."

The country singer got pretty lucky with his co-star in the "Lose My Mind" video ... She's a Victoria's Secret model!

"She’s a Victoria’s Secret model, which was cool,” he says of Rachel Hilbert, giggling. “She was an awesome person. Literally the day before the video she jumped on board to do it. Like she’d heard about it the day before and we were like, ‘We’d really like her to do this,’ and she was like, ‘I’ll get on a plane right now.’ She got on a plane and was in Nashville by midnight and we were on filming by like 8AM."

Although Eldredge is proud of his latest work, it did cause one family member to cringe just a little. “My mom said she had to close her eyes for a couple of parts," the singer admits.
