Garth Brooks has announced the first headlining appearances of his career in New Orleans for July.

The iconic entertainer will perform his first gigs in Louisiana in 18 years in the Big Easy on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 at Smoothie King Center as part of his ongoing world tour, which marks his return to the road after a period of self-imposed retirement while he raised his daughters. The shows include his wife, fellow country star Trisha Yearwood, and have been selling out multiple nights in every market.

Brooks is promoting his latest studio album, Man Against Machine, which was released in November of 2014. The album has produced two singles; “People Loving People” and “Mom," and received a platinum disc in January. He is featuring music from the new album in his shows and is working on another new studio project for 2015, which he has said might be a concept album.

Yearwood released a new studio album, PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit, in November. Her current single is an emotional ballad titled “I Remember You,” which is in memory of her late mother and features her sister on harmony vocals.

Tickets for the New Orleans concerts will go on sale Friday, June 5 at 10AM CT, with an eight ticket limit per purchase. Tickets are available exclusively at Ticketmaster, or by calling 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on June 5.
