Aaron Watson has just scored a major Showdown victory with his new single, and he'll go on to face a tough challenge from Florida Georgia Line today and over the weekend.

Watson's latest single is "Bluebonnets," and it's the most personal song he's ever released. The emotionally powerful ballad was inspired by the death of his newborn daughter, Julia, and fans have been responding to it by turning out to vote in unusually large numbers.

FGL's newest song is "H.O.L.Y.," and as promised, it's a step in a more mature, serious direction for the superstar duo, who've previously been known mostly for their fun party anthems.  "H.O.L.Y." is a heartfelt love song with a beautiful arrangement -- but is it enough for FGL to break Watson's streak?

Listen to clips of both Watson’s and FGL's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
