2012 ACM Award for Single Record of the Year – ‘Crazy Girl’

No song received more airplay in 2011 than 'Crazy Girl' by Eli Young Band. The fact that it's in both the Single and Song of the Categories could work against their chances of winning, however. Some voters may vote for one in lieu of the other. The quartet is relatively new to the award show stage, and often it seems an artist has to suffer a little while before being rewarded with trophies.

This song will win if: Voters reward the most played song in country music. It also sold a ton of singles on iTunes and pushed fans to buy their 'Life at Best' album. The group has a better chance in this category than Song of the Year, as the production really adds the mood to Mike Eli's ominous vocals.
