2012 ACM Award for Song of the Year – Kenny Chesney, ‘You and Tequila’ (Feat. Grace Potter)

This Grammy-nominated duet was written by Matraca Berg and Deana Carter, but it was the collaborative efforts of Kenny Chesney and unheard of (to most country fans anyway) Grace Potter that turned this into one of the strangely sexy (yet heartbreaking) ballads in recent memory.

This song will win if: Age of the song doesn't play a factor. The song was released almost a full year ago, and Chesney's most loyal fans (many of whom are eligible to vote) may have been listening to it for over two years. The fact that Chesney chose a non-country artist shouldn't play much of a factor in the final tally.
