While Keifer and Shawna Thompson have only released one album, it produced one of the biggest hits of 2011. 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not' should have been nominated in the Single or Song of the Year categories. They've been a solid opening act for artists like Lady Antebellum and are definitely stars on the rise.

They will win if: Sugarland doesn't win. Thompson Square are hoping voters put a lot of stock into new music. They're the "hottest" duo in the category, but perhaps not quite big enough to challenge the perennial front-runners from Georgia.
