2012 ACM Award for Vocal Group of the Year – Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts want to win this award very badly. After they lost to Lady Antebellum in 2010, the trio immediately rethought their approach and reconsidered what they needed to do to sharpen their game. 'Nothing Like This' was a step in the right direction, but it may take another album to prove they're again worthy.

They will win if: Voters disagree with the above statement that they need another year to prove they're the best vocal group in America. Country groups come in waves, with years in which it seems there are two or three true contenders and a few others that round out the category. 2012 is not one of those years. The competition is as stiff as ever for the award.
