Two country groups from very different eras will square off in this Round 2 battle to determine who moves on for a chance to be named the best country band of all time. Alabama, a favorite to win March Bandness, dominated country music throughout the '80s and early '90s. An argument could be made that no band was more influential. Lonestar similary dominated the late '90s and early '00s and did one thing the Randy Owen-led group never did: cross over.

'Amazed' is regularly included in conversations about the best country songs of all time. Lonestar had many more than just this one smash, however. From 1995 to 2005 the Richie McDonald-fronted group were pretty much a sure thing. To get to Round 2, they took down Little Big Town by over seven percentage points.

Alabama bested Josh Abbott Band, taking over 75 percent of the vote in that matchup. Who will move forward to win this clash of two very different eras? Fans decide by voting once every hour and sharing this poll with others. The winner will face either Sugarland or Diamond Rio in the semi-final matchup, and the ultimate March Bandness winner will be revealed on April 8.
