Alan Jackson is the latest country star to open his own bar in Nashville. Jackson has apparently bought space on Lower Broadway in Tennessee for his future establishment.

Named AJ's Good Time Bar after the singer's 2008 song "Good Time," the bar will be located at 421 Broadway and is due to open later this year. The Tennessean reports that Jackson paid $925-per-square-foot for the space, setting a new record price for a building sold in the downtown location.

The legendary country singer plans to add a rooftop patio and elevator to the three-story building. This isn't Jackson's first time opening a space downtown and will likely not be his last, as he's also a partner in Acme Feed & Seed on Lower Broadway.

AJ's Good Time Bar will join Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row and John Rich's Redneck Riviera on Lower Broadway. In January, Bentley announced the development of his bar, which is scheduled to open in early 2017.

“Lower Broadway’s honky-tonks are the stomping grounds of countless artists past to present chasing this crazy dream of playing music,” Bentley explains. “It’s home of the bars where I cut my teeth night after night, usually running up a beer tab bigger than the tips I made covered. It’s pretty full-circle."
