Alan Jackson gave a very special little boy a precious day to remember on Friday (May 8).

Joshua John is a 4-year-old boy from Rutledge, Tenn., a small town in East Tennessee. He has been diagnosed with Stage 4 hepatoblastoma liver and lung cancer, and one of his greatest wishes has been to meet Jackson.

That dream came true on Friday, after several people intervened and contacted the singer about meeting with the young cowboy. Jackson arranged for a limo ride for Joshua John and his parents into Nashville, where they stayed in a suite and Joshua John got to meet Jackson at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Jackson even autographed an acoustic guitar for the excited boy, whose nickname is JDub.

Joshua John's mother posted the news to his Facebook page, Prayers for Joshua John, writing, "I just want to say Thank You to God first of all that he saw fit for JoshuaJohn to meet Mr Alan Jackson!! And then I want to thank every person who helped to make a DREAM come true for JoshuaJohn.. It took everyone!! And then I want to say I'm sorry I could not let it get out....Most of my kids only found out late last night. Our day has been videoed and I will share with local news stations! Thank you Alan Jackson and your very sweet beautiful wife and all of your team!Love to All.....now off to enjoy JDUBs special trip!!"

She later posted photos of their limo ride, as well as a cake that was waiting for JDub in his suite.

There are several fundraisers coming up for Joshua John. More information is available via Facebook.
