Priscilla Barker’s acappella version of Miranda Lambert’s ‘More Like Her’ is bringing the ‘American Idol’ hopeful early attention. The new season doesn’t begin until January 7, but a clip of Barker’s audition was released to YouTube, giving country fans something to be excited about.

Barker may be familiar to those who study the show closely. The Amory, Miss. native earned a ticket to Hollywood in 2014, but didn’t go much further. During that audition she impressed judges with versions of Johnny Cash’s ‘Jackson’ and Rascal Flatts’ ‘Bless the Broken Road.’

It’s not clear if Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. were head over heels for her version of Lambert’s song from 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,' but Barker has been heavily promoting the debut of Season 14 on her Facebook page, so it’s fair to assume she made it to Hollywood yet again. It also seems likely she sings a second song during the audition, as she took to the stage with a guitar strapped around her neck.

Recently, Barker moved to Music City. According to updates on her Facebook page, she took the leap just before Christmas and played her first gig — an acoustic show at Puckett’s Grocery in Nashville — on Dec. 21.
