Skylar Laine Makes Top 24 on ‘American Idol’ With Reba McEntire’s ‘Fancy’

At only 17 years old, 'American Idol' contestant Skylar Laine is able to command the stage like a true country star. Despite her impressive performances, Ms. Laine was one of the hopefuls whose fate was hanging in the balance as the remaining contestants for the Top 24 of Season 11 were revealed.

Standing in the middle of the dramatic, floating stage, Laine tore through Reba McEntire's 'Fancy' with a fiery energy and gravelly tone to her country twanged voice. Donning cowboy boots and a sweet little sundress, Laine looked very cute, but she was all attitude when she got up there and once again, blew us and the judges away.

After consistently strong performances, like her Pistol Annies audition with 'Hell on Heels' and her performance of the Band Perry's 'You Lie,' Skylar Laine made it to the Top 24 on 'American Idol.' So, will she become to next Lauren Alaina or even the next Carrie Underwood? We'll just have to tune in and see. Congratulations, Skylar!
