Actress Ashley Williams, star of the recent romantic comedy 'Something Borrowed' married her longtime beau, producer Neal Dodson, on Sunday evening at the home of her sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley and her husband, country singer Brad Paisley.

The reception was held in the sand pit -- in which Paisley trains his horses -- and overall, it was a tried n' true, old-fashioned, country-inspired ceremony. The pair exchanged nuptials outside and without all the bells and whistles that define most weddings.

Williams told PEOPLE that the wedding was meant to be a no-frills, down-home affair. "We basically planned an upscale keg party!" she explained. The couple wrote their own vows and swapped wedding bands purchased from Overstock.com. The party favors handed out at the reception were also practical: Flip-flops, so the guests could "relax and have fun," said Williams.

Since Paisley, who just released his new album, 'This is Country Music,' was too busy playing generous host, a four-member, local country band provided the entertainment. Fifty guests danced and drank assorted libations, including the signature wedding drink, 'The Smashed,' a whiskey-based concoction named in honor of Williams' nickname, Smash. Dinner consisted of southern comfort foods like pulled pork, biscuits and mac and cheese, and shockingly, there was no wedding cake. Instead, guests devoured banana pudding.

Looks like Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have started a trend with simple, unrefined country weddings!
