Austin Webb Gets Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend

Love is in the air for Austin Webb. The country singer posted a photo on Instagram and Facebook yesterday (Nov. 11) to share the good news of his engagement to girlfriend Melanie McFarlane Payne with fans.

"I've never been so sure about anything in my life," he writes. "The most supportive, beautiful, smart, funny, great cooking, good lookin', kind hearted woman said yes!"

In the photo posted, there's a close-up of the beautiful ring Webb gave his fiancee as he is shown in the background sporting a beard and flannel.

Webb's latest single, "All Country On You" was released in January. In an interview with Taste of Country Nights, Webb revealed his producer sent him the track and said it's the story of his life.

“I’ve written almost every song I’ve ever recorded, that I’ve ever played live, but my publisher sent me this song and he’s like, ‘Austin, this is all about your life. This is who you are, man. This is what’s happened to you,’” the singer recalls. “And I thought it was going to be some sweet real introspective song about love and harmony and things like that.”

While the tune itself is more self-deprecating than a sweet love song, Webb says the song has been received well.
