Alanna Conaway’s love for music began at an early age, but it wasn’t until her mother began freelancing for country music magazines that she was thrown in the midst of her future career. At age 11, Conaway received praise from Billy Ray Cyrus after seeing her work as an amateur photographer, encouraging her to follow in her mother's footsteps. She then started freelancing for multiple publications as a photographer, before she began dabbling with writing. By the early 2000s, she was an published journalist for many music magazines on the market. At 29, she has established herself as a well-respected writer in the field of music entertainment and has built strong friendships along the way. Conaway currently resides in Nashville, Tenn. where she freelances full-time for Taste of Country, PopCrush, Ultimate Classic Rock, LoudWire, Guy Speed, Country Weekly and Full Access Magazine.

Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Heidi Newfield
"My favorite costume... Pippy Long Stocking! My long blonde braids on coat hanger wire -- wide as a door -- won me $50 in a big Halloween costume contest. OK … the lil' outfit didn't hurt either, but…! My favorite memory is dressing up in some ridiculous fabulous fantasy costume with my mom taking me trick or treating for tons of candy...
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Brett Eldredge
"I thought to myself, this is so unfair that my brother gets to be a dinosaur and I’m stuck with Mickey Mouse! I mean, dinosaurs could eat a mouse in a bow tie in a matter of seconds! Dangit, mom! I'm still not letting it go!" - Brett Eldredge (reflecting on the year he went as Mickey Mouse and his younger brother went as a Dinosaur)

"My favorite year was when I was a Ninja Turtle ... I ate so much candy that night that I got sick!" - Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Hunter Hayes
"I did dress up quite a bit when I was a kid for Halloween. I wasn’t really a candy kid -- I’m just weird like that -- but one year I dressed up as a skeleton... black suit and all you could see was just the bones, right? I went around and trick or treated, but when I got home I laid down like I was dead, like I was some kind of mannequin or something, and then as the kids would come closer I
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Sunny Sweeney
"My favorite costume was when I was in elementary school and I begged my mom to let me be Dolly Parton. I looked so cute, but when I got to the carnival, all my friends were laughing because of my 'balloons' being so big. I went into the bathroom and took them out, so then I ended up looking just like a third grader in a big blonde wig and cowboy boots...
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Dustin Lynch
"The house I grew up in had a bunch of trees in the front yard, so there would always be a huge pile on the edge of the road. Me and my buddies would dress up, crawl under the piles of leaves and jump out when cars would come by. It was all fun and games until one year we decided to hold BB guns...
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Josh Turner
"One of the funniest Halloween moments that I remember was several years ago when Hampton was about 2 or 3 years old I guess. We were actually playing a show on Halloween down in Louisiana. One of my band members talked me into having the whole band dress up in costumes and play the show ...
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Jana Kramer
"My favorite Halloween costume was when I went out as Sporty Spice. It was hilarious because all of my girlfriends dressed up as the other Spice Girls. We had a blast!" - Jana Kramer
Country Stars’ Best Halloween Memories – Brantley Gilbert
"I was a good bit younger … probably 12 or 13. Me and my cousin would go hide in the woods, and I remember when all the kids would come trick-or-treating to my grandmother’s house, we would definitely scare the living hell out of them ...
