Hank Williams Jr. received lemons and turned them into lemonade. In August 1975, Bocephus was mountain climbing in Montana when he fell over four hundred feet to a rocky ledge below. Doctors said he wouldn't live, as the fall split his face open from chin to hairline and resulted in multiple facial and skull fractures. Not only did he live (obviously), he grew a beard and began sporting the sunglasses and cowboy hat that would become his signature look for years to come. Can you imagine a clean-shaven Hank Williams Jr.?
