Bart Crow ‘In Shock’ at First Opry Invitation

Indie singer-songwriter Bart Crow was astonished when he got the call inviting him to make his Grand Ole Opry debut this fall as part of the legendary radio program’s nine-month 90th anniversary celebration.

“Honestly, I believe I am still in shock,” Crow says. “It is the shrine of country music and every song I was raised on."

The up-and-comer has paid his dues, having released five albums over the last decade without the help of a label. He has sold 40,000 records and had six No. 1s on the Texas Music Chart. One of those singles, "Wear My Ring," sold more than 165,000 copies, but Crow is still in awe of how far he’s come.

“To think that I will be standing on the very hallowed circle of wood that so many legends and heroes who blurred the boundaries of music performed, it is quite overwhelming,” Crow adds. “It is a great honor and a dream I never imagined possible."

He'll perform on the Opry on August 21, 2015.

Crow is now signed to Nashville indie label Thirty Tigers, which boasts a roster of success stories including the Avett Brothers, Patty Griffin and Jason Isbell, and recently released his single “Life Comes at You Fast,” the debut track from his upcoming album The Parade. Crow's most recent record, Dandelion, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers South Central Chart.

Crow is currently touring around the country promoting The Parade and joining in on festival lineups.
