Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood started writing songs together at the University of Georgia, but after graduation they split up, with Haywood remaining in Atlanta and Kelley moving to Winston-Salem, N.C. Kelley didn't make use of his business degree, however. Instead, he found work doing construction until he convinced Haywood to move to Nashville with him. We suspect the taller member of the now trio may have done mighty well building and fixing structures. If nothing else, he could at least reach things that the average nail pounder would have to climb a ladder to get at.
