Prior to moving to Nashville, Willie Nelson served in the Air Force and took odd jobs while sharpening his songwriting pen. One of those gigs was at KVAN, a radio station in Vancouver, Washington.

Nelson is one of few artists who spent time on the other side of the radio microphone. We can't help but wonder what his radio name would be today had he continued on that career path. Big Willie Nelson? Bubba Nelson? The Willie and the Weasels Morning Show? Nelson certainly had a way with words, as this advertisement for his show proves.
