Big & Rich have been selected as headliners for the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) second inauguration charity event benefiting Musicians on Call. The country duo will perform their headlining set at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20, which is also the evening of the presidential inauguration.

“Musicians on Call brings the healing power of music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities nationwide,” says Pete Griffin, President of Musicians on Call, in a press release. “We are so grateful for RIAA’s long-term support of our mission and to be the charitable beneficiary of Big & Rich’s performance in Washington, D.C.”

Musicians on Call volunteers have played for nearly half a million people in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Baltimore. MoC supporters include Pharrell Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Lady Antebellum, James Taylor, Jessie J, Justin Timberlake, Gavin DeGraw and Imagine Dragons.

Big & Rich have been wrapping up a busy 2016 with plenty of festival dates and headlining tours. The duo told Taste of Country earlier in the year that they're hard at work on new music, and said they're very excited for a song called “Congratulations, You’re a Rock Star.” At the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival, the duo said they’ve been in the studio recording and writing. However, there’s no timetable for the next album quite yet.

Their latest single is “Lovin’ Lately,” a collaboration with Tim McGraw, who came up with the idea for the ballad.

“To be able to do something with him on this record, he took us on our first tour way back in 2004,” John Rich says. “Pretty cool circle that we’ve been able to complete there.”
