Billy Joe Shaver is facing heath ailments again.

Shaver's tour manager and guitar player Jeremy Lynn Woodall shared the sad news ahead of a string of shows he was supposed to perform in Texas over the weekend of April 14, Saving Country Music confirms.

“Yall pray for Billy Joe. He's been admitted to the hospital regarding his heart," Woodall says. "Tonight and tomorrow's shows will be rescheduled. Our sincerest apology.”

In a later post, the manager offered another update, assuring fans, "He's okay ... nothing to get worried about, but tonight and tomorrows shows will be rescheduled.”

The 77-year-old country singer also experienced some serious health problems in 2016. After a stint in the hospital, Shaver was forced to cancel a series of tour dates in early summer. His publicist Cary Baker shared that even though he's had his knees and hips replaced, he's still "alive and kicking.” Shaver himself eased fans' worries when he wrote in a Facebook post that while he was on his "deathbed for two days," he was back and ready to "kick some more ass."

Shaver achieved fame during the outlaw era of country music, writing hits for legends Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. He's also recorded duets with Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and Tanya Tucker on his country gospel album, Everybody's Brother. His latest album, Long in the Tooth, was released in 2014 and broke the Top 20 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, marking the first time Shaver appeared on the chart. He has several tour dates lined up throughout the summer of 2017.
