This year's CMA Music Festival kicks off Thursday (June 11) in Nashville, and that afternoon some lucky fans will get the chance to have a beer on Blake Shelton's tab.

The "Sangria" singer won't be attending the country extravaganza this time around, but he didn't want the roughly 80,000 fans who will to feel let down — or thirsty — so he's partnering with Bud Light for "Beers on Blake."

"I'm sorry I'm not able to make it to the festival this year," Shelton says, "But I will be with you in spirits."

More than a dozen of downtown Nashville's honky tonks will give away a limited supply of koozies, shirts and free beer, all on Shelton. The promotion kicks off at 4PM Thursday and the beer will flow until its gone, but don't expect that to last too long. With temperatures regularly reaching into the 90s during CMA week, there will be plenty of country fans out there looking for a drink.

Those who do get a cold one courtesy of Shelton are just asked to snap a photo for Instagram or Twitter, use the hashtag #YourVoiceofChoice and tag @blakeshelton. The singer, of course, is one of four celebrity judges on NBC's The Voice.

Over the years, the lovable country star has developed a somewhat exaggerated reputation for knowing his way to the bottom of beer bottle, but this may be the biggest round he's ever bought.
