Having a private helicopter may seem excessive, but Blake Shelton swears he uses it all the time. In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Shelton confirmed that yes, he does have a private helicopter, and he often takes girlfriend Gwen Stefani on elaborate dates with it. Dates that must include beverages.

"It gets a lot more use than you'd think...I don't fly it, I don't know how to fly it. I get someone else to, because in order to fly to be able to settle in and really enjoy it, you got to have some drinks,” Shelton explains.

Not too shabby for a good ol’ boy from Oklahoma. Though he was reluctant to admit the luxury at first, he decided to own it.

“Someday, if we all make it,” he said, gesturing to the crowd, “we’ll get a helicopter.”

Shelton deciphers that Kimmel must have gotten that piece of gossip from Carson Daly, host of The Voice, which Kimmel admits is true. Shelton has been on The Voice as a celebrity coach every year since its inception, which just wrapped its 11th season. He met Stefani while they were both going through very public divorces and she took a turn in the coach’s seat, and, though they admit it was unexpected, they soon began dating. It’s now been over a year, and if the helicopter dates are any indication, we’d say they’re going strong.

Shelton’s team on The Voice took home yet another victory this season with Sundance Head, for whom Shelton has already gone to bat, challenging Universal Records to support him. It’s Shelton's fifth victory overall as a coach.
