Blake Shelton is a record breaker this week, as 'Honey Bee' has sold over 138,000 digital singles during its first week of availability. That is a statistic not achieved by any male solo artist in the country genre to date, so a big congrats to Shelton for his latest accolade! Country fans are clearly sweet on 'Honey Bee.'

Additionally, the song landed at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and No. 36 on Country Aircheck Mediabase Chart, making it Shelton's highest single chart debut.

If his track record is any indication, 'Honey Bee' should fast "track" to the coveted No. 1 slot, since Shelton, who also guests on Brad Paisley's new album, hit the top of the chart with three consecutive singles in the past year. Those songs were 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking,' 'All About Tonight' and 'Hillbilly Bone,' if you are keeping score at home. He has scored eight total No. 1 singles in his career so far, and 'Honey Bee' could be the ninth.

Shelton debuted 'Honey Bee' to the world live at the ACMs on Sunday, April 3. You can catch Shelton on tour with Paisley this summer.
