Blake Shelton's week in New York City included a visit to 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' where he dressed as a chicken and performed a clucking good version of 'Ho Hey' by the Lumineers on Thursday night (March 28). The 'Boys 'Round Here' singer played guitar and sang alongside the show's host, actor Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson from 'Parks and Recreation') and Fallon editor Chris Tartaro.

The Roots helped round out the ensemble, but they kept their street duds for the sketch. The video speaks for itself -- wait to the end to see Shelton almost break character after his verse of the hit song parody. Fallon had given viewers a head's up about the insanity by tweeting a picture of the feathered foursome along with a message reading, "Oh - this is happening as well tonight."

The skit pleased everyone, except maybe actor/director Tyler Perry, who was the evening's first guest. "You could have a black chicken up there," he told Fallon (quote via the Examiner). "What's happening? Black people like chicken, too."

A picture of Shelton dressed as a chicken, passed out with a liquor bottle in his hand is the singer's new profile picture on Twitter. He's made a number of NSFW jokes about the outfit since waking up this morning.
