Blake Shelton vs. Kenny Chesney – Taste of Country Bowl 2013, Round 1

Kenny Chesney has the most football experience in this matchup, but the longtime University of Tennessee fan will have to take on a team much bigger than any the Volunteers have faced to get to the next round of the Taste of Country Bowl. Blake Shelton is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, and is arguably a favorite to win this first round matchup.

But no favorite is ever safe. Who will gather their fans to chase the competition off the field? A vote for either artist is a vote for their music, talent, personality and, of course, you. It will take a true collaborative effort between fans and artist to get to the final round, which will takes place the week prior to the real Super Bowl.

Voting for all Round 1 matchups will end on Jan. 13 at 11:59PM ET. You may vote for either Team Blake or Team Chesney once every hour until then. The winner of the 2013 Taste of Country Bowl will be the artist and fanbase who works together to top the competition each week until the Feb. 4 trophy presentation.
