Miranda Lambert Shares Honeymoon Photo After Marrying Blake Shelton
What could be more country than going fishing in Texas for your honeymoon in lieu of a trip to Hawaii? Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, who married on May 14, are enjoying a little time off from appearing on TV shows and recording albums to soak up some sun and reel in some fish -- oh, and be in love.
"Honeymoon bliss!!!" the new Mrs. Shelton tweeted, including a photo of herself standing lakeside, holding a decent "keeper."
It's clear that Lambert has really got the Texas girl thing down, what with her 'Farm Girls' baseball cap and overalls -- not to mention the pigtails.
We bet that our favorite 'The Voice' coach, Shelton, likes his women this way: a girl who can strip down just as well as she can clean up. This photo of the 'White Liar' singer spending time with her man is a bit different than the wedding photo that dropped this morning, but we like the bare bones side of the country starlet.
From the looks of it, the Sheltons are having quite a time baiting hooks and cleaning scales off of fish, even if that's not what most people would expect a famous couple to do on their honeymoon. We hope they've got a nice cold case of Shiner Beer to keep them company, too.
Following this romantic getaway, Lambert and Shelton will unfortunately have to head back to work. Shelton will be taping 'The Voice,' which starts its live, America-voted episodes in June, while Lambert will get started on her new record.
