Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert enjoyed honeymooning at Reba McEntire's vacation digs near Cancun, Mexico. While that might sound like a divine, delightful getaway on paper, the elements did come into play when Shelton broke the one golden rule of travel to Mexico: "Don't drink the water."

Shelton revealed all the gory -- and trust us, they are gory -- details to E! Online, admitting that "I surprised her and flew her down there with a couple friends of ours for three days of absolute crazy fun. We got to experience everything: We got drunk, we ate too much, we got seasick one day, we got sunburned, I did a couple shots of salt water that I didn't mean to because the waves were hitting me too hard."

Oh, but that's not all. Shelton is a rebel and a rule breaker, and he took full advantage of the few days off to do whatever he wanted, saying, "We did everything you're supposed to do in Mexico, including ... I drank the water and had diarrhea."

We know, that is really TMI. But Shelton did put it into perspective, claiming that the open nature of the country music genre and his relationship with his fans allows him the freedom to speak openly and freely ... even about that.

"I just think it's harder for Miranda and I to pull back," he explained. "Country music is different in that we're very in touch with our fans and there's a closer relationship. I think because of that, naturally, because we're both country artists and we did just get married, it would've been close to impossible to keep that under wraps and keep that part of what we do hidden. People want to know and, you know what, I'm proud."

Shelton also wants to show how proud he is be married to Lambert by shouting it from magazine rooftops! In his typical dry sense of humor, Shelton joked that he wants to have photos in magazines to prove that someone like him could actually win the heart of a beauty like Lambert! He said, "I mean, I can't believe that I got Miranda Lambert. Hell yeah, I'm gonna talk about that, and I want there to be pictures on magazines so I can prove it to people. That's awesome to me. I don't have any secrets to keep from anybody."

Oh Blake, we love your candor.
