Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Prepare for Married Life, Death of Singlehood This Week

We're two days out from the wedding of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, who will tie the knot on Saturday, May 14 in Texas. Like the jokester that he is, when Mr. Shelton went to Grayson County, Texas to acquire the couple's marriage license, he also tweeted a picture of the death certificate applications -- symbolizing that he is truly about to take a life-changing plunge.

Elsewhere around the small Texas town of Lindale, Lambert (soon to be Mrs. Shelton) has been wrapping up a few last-minute details of her own. "I am so excited. Got nails touched up. One last Walmart run and I should be good!" the 'White Liar' superstar tweeted yesterday.

Later, she even shared with her followers what the pair will be serving their guests: her signature deer cutlets. "Last thing loaded for the wedding!!! Harvested by ... me!!!!!" she said, adding a picture of her packaged beef. "What does YOUR girl have for dinner?" Shelton reciprocated, sharing the same photo with his fans.

Just a few hours ago, the groom so kindly let his Twitter followers know that he'd be M.I.A. from the social media site for awhile while he does the good deed. "Hey y'all friends, fans and freaks. I'm not going to be here for a few days, so stir s---- up for me while I'm gone. I'm going to get buried," he said.
