Blake Shelton is kicking off 2017 with a No. 1 single. Shelton's latest release, “A Guy With a Girl,” recently hit the top of Billboard's Country Airplay Chart. This marks Shelton's 23rd career No. 1 song.

"I've been in this business long enough to know that a number one single should be celebrated and never taken for granted,” Shelton said in a press release. “I'm just as excited about ‘Guy With a Girl’ going No. 1 as I was ‘Austin.’ The first thing I did when I found out today was call my mom, just like I did with my first and every No. 1. So, as always, thanks to country radio and especially the fans for this."

Shelton's 2017 has already been a busy one. He debuted his new single, “Every Time I Hear That Song,” on Jan. 18 at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Calif., where he also took home Favorite Male Country Artist and the all-genre Favorite Album, marking the first time ever a country artist has taken home the Favorite Album prize.

That Hair! See Blake Through the Years

His exciting year doesn't stop there, though. The singer recently announced a new venture with Ryman Hospitality Properties and the Grand Ole Opry, with whom he partnered to open a bar called Ole Red after his 2002 hit of the same name in Nashville and his hometown of Tishomingo, Okla. Ole Red’s Nashville location will include a bar, live music stages, a restaurant, VIP booths and live band karaoke, as well as an outdoor rooftop space with fire pits and other amenities.

Shelton will kick off his Doing It To Country Songs Tour in Bakersfield, Calif. on Feb. 16. His tour is a reunion of sorts, with former contestants from The Voice acting as openers. The Voice Season 11 champion Sundance Head will be joining Shelton on the road, as will Season 2 contestant RaeLynn.
