Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert married two years ago on May 14, and to celebrate the big anniversary a few days early, Shelton surprised his wife onstage in Bakersfield, Calif. on Thursday (May 9). He also gave fans a real treat.

According to Radar Online, as Lambert's gig was wrapping up, Shelton shocked the crowd and perhaps his missus by waltzing onto the stage and yelling "Surprise!" He then sang his new single, 'Boys 'Round Here,' the video of which features his wife and her band, the Pistol Annies.

"Hope you liked the surprise!" Miranda tweeted after the show. It's not clear if she was in on Shelton's appearance from the very beginning, but whatever the case, it was good times for fans of the couple and of country music.

Lambert also tweeted a loving note to her tweet-happy hubby, posting: "And…. 3 years ago today @blakeshelton asked me to marry him. Pretty great moment in my life. I really like him!"

Apparently! Congrats to country's first couple -- after Tim and Faith, of course -- on celebrating another year of wedded bliss. They really do suit one another. Even with their busy lives and crazy career schedules, they still found the time to get on that stage together and spend their pre-anniversary with one another.

The couple that plays together, stays together.
