A flood of late voting threatened to turn the tide of many of the Round 1 Taste of Country Bowl matchups. At least one artist who went into the weekend with a comfortable lead finds himself without a game in Round 2. Only eight teams remain in the battle to determine the best pairing of artist and fanbase.

Taylor Swift's fans impressively overcame a several thousand vote deficit to best Hunter Hayes and his Hayniacs by just 45 votes. With that many votes cast during the week-long, Round 1 matchup, the margin of victory for Swifties proves that there is no time to rest in this month-long playoff, which concludes on Super Bowl Sunday.

Lady Antebellum called their fans to action on Facebook and cruised to a comfortable win over Toby Keith. Scotty McCreery and his fans kept fighting to stave off Luke Bryan's supporters, who never gave up. Brantley Gilbert pushed his fans to vote at every opportunity, allowing the BG Nation to cruise past Miranda Lambert.

Other round one winners include Eric Church and his Church Choir (over Jason Aldean's Army), Blake Shelton (over Kenny Chesney), Brad Paisley (over the Band Perry) and Carrie Underwood, who beat Little Big Town.

The Round 2 matches, as demonstrated in the bracket, will begin Monday (Jan. 14) and last through 11:59PM ET on Jan. 20. Fans, help your team by voting as much as possible until then. Winning the Taste of Country Bowl will take a relentless attack by both artist and fans. Good luck to all remaining singers and fanclubs!

Note: This round has now ended. Round 3 will begin Tuesday, January 22. Good luck to all!
