Brad Paisley is the proud recipient of a great many CMA, ACM, Grammy and American Music Awards, but don't look for them on the mantel if you go over to his house.

The country superstar tells Country Aircheck that not only does he not display most of his awards, he doesn't even have them in storage at his house. In fact, most of the awards he's won reside at his parents' house.

“I don’t like to look back,” he says (quote via CMT.com). “I love the next challenge and don’t keep awards. There are a few that are really important, but my parents have most of them. … If you make the mistake of looking back too much, you aren’t focused enough on the road in front of you.”

The road in front of Paisley looks bright, with a top-selling current album, Moonshine in the Trunk, that has yielded several hit singles, and tour dates throughout the year. Fans can also look forward to his headlining set at Colorado Jam 2016, which is set for June 16-19 in Grand Junction, Colo.

But Paisley's planning for the future doesn't extend all the way to planning for the end of his life.

“I’m one of those people that hasn’t thought that far ahead,” he admits. “I try to make sure my family’s in good shape, but I don’t have a master plan for how this winds down.”
