Brad Paisley has confirmed that Demi Lovato is his mystery collaborator on his new single, "Without a Fight." The song is expected to be released to country radio on Friday morning (May 13). It's the first single from his upcoming 11th studio album.

A week's worth of teasing all but came to an end on Thursday, when Paisley tweeted "Drumroll ... it's @ddlovato!" Earlier, the pop star had made her own guess as to who Paisley's partner in crime could be, guessing Reba McEntire. "Great guess, but no," Paisley said.

Shortly after he re-tweeted the same video he'd sent out one day before, this time lifting the veil on his famous, dark-haired friend:

Paisley and Lovato first paired up at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards in April, singing her song "Stone Cold." It's not clear if this new collaboration was already in the works at that time, but afterward Lovato tweeted that she hoped to work with him again soon, using a winky-face emoji. Many took that to be a coy way of saying that something was already in the works, and speculation became overwhelming once a promo photo of Paisley next to a silhouette began to circulate. Her fans recognized it as her promotional photo.

Paisley is no stranger to collaborations. Some of his best singing partners include Carrie Underwood (“Remind Me”), Alison Krauss (“Whiskey Lullaby”) and Dolly Parton (“When I Get Where I’m Going”). He announced his 2016 Life Amplified World Tour this week. Maddie & Tae and Tyler Farr will open for the singer when he begins on May 19 in Sacramento, Calif. Look for him at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo. on June 17.
