It was a very unlikely pairing, but somehow, it worked.

Brad Paisley joined Color Me Badd Monday night (Nov. 2) on Jimmy Kimmel Live for the return of the late night talk show host's popular segment Mash Up Mondays. Before the cameras panned to the stage, Kimmel introduced the performers as Color Me Bradd, which was fitting for what would happen next.

The country singer joined the boy band on the stage, all dressed in leather jackets, and traded verses with the group on their 1991 hit "I Wanna Sex You Up." Paisley then took the spotlight towards the end of the song with his own spin on the band's slowed, spoken-word portion.

While Paisley didn't take part in the dancing, he looked comfortable sharing the stage with his signature cowboy hat and red guitar in hand. Watch his performance above with Color Me Badd.

Kimmel announced the return of the Mash Up Mondays last week. The unique segment has featured Haim performing with Morris Day & the Time and Weezer performing with ZZ Top.

Paisley will host the 49th Annual CMA Awards Wednesday (Nov. 4) with Carrie Underwood. While the star-studded show promises appearances by artists of multiple genres, no word on whether Color Me Bradd will make a second appearance.
