A Tucson, Ariz., man learned that when your first plan to propose marriage falls through, it’s best to contact Brad Paisley.

The singer spent a few weeks helping Jason Smith orchestrate a stealth marriage proposal plan for his June 18 show in Laughlin, Nev. Smith reached out to the “Without a Fight” singer via Twitter, after he’d tried to pop the question during a Phoenix show and failed. It wasn’t his fault, however.

Heavy-handed security kept Smith from getting Paisley’s attention, so Smith aborted his plan to propose to girlfriend Courtney Larger. That’s when he decided to use social media to reach the country star. The two decided “Little Moments” would be playing when Smith and Larger came to the front of the stage. Video shows Larger clearly knew what was about to happen, but it didn’t matter. Smith dropped to a knee, said a few sweet words and asked for her to be his life partner. And she said “Yes!”

One night earlier, Paisley headlined Day 2 of Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo. There were no high-profile proposals made on that night, although love lingered in the air. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani caught the fever during Day 3 of Country Jam, kissing and embracing after sharing a stage together.

Of course, none of these loving moments can top the crazy marriage proposal the Swon Brothers helped orchestrate at Taste of Country Music Festival one week earlier.
