Decked out his usual black baseball cap and skin-tight jeans, newcomer Brantley Gilbert wowed concert-goers with an electrifying performance of his No. 1 'Country Must Be Country Wide' during tonight's 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' ABC prime time special.

Fans may know Gilbert from 'Country Must Be Country Wide' and his follow up chart-topper 'You Don't Know Her Like I Do,' but the the singer established himself as a viable songwriter long before he took the country industry be storm with his solo gig, penning Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party' and 'Dirt Road Anthem.'

Made apparent by his rockin' performance on tonight's special, Gilbert has no trouble entertaining a stadium full of country music fans -- a talent that will come in hand as he launches his own headlining tour this fall. The singer plans to kick off his Hell on Wheels run in Lafayette, Ind. on Sept. 27
