Brantley Gilbert has much to be thankful for in 2017, but none more than his newborn son. The superstar and wife Amber welcomed their son Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert into the world in November, so it's their first Thanksgiving as parents.

“Thanksgiving, that’s my wife’s favorite time of the year, one of my favorite times a year," Gilbert says in an interview with his record label, Big Machine Label Group. "You know, especially this year I have so much to be thankful for and it’s been a blessing and God’s done some amazing things in our lives. And, you know if there’s gotta be something on the table for me, I think everybody knows and if you don’t know, I’m a mac and cheese guy."

Gilbert also released his The Devil Don't Sleep album and embarked on a successful headlining tour, The Devil Don't Sleep Tour in 2017. Son Barrett was born on Nov. 11.

“Honestly, I’m just speechless,” Gilbert said shortly after his son's birth. “Watching the delivery, I don’t even know what to say. Amber and I are just so thankful and blessed to have this beautiful little boy.”

He's Gilbert's first child. The couple struggled with infertility — after marrying in June 2015, the pair tried for nearly two years to conceive.
