Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so Brantley Gilbert should be honored that an Indiana man  impersonated him and tricked two other men into giving him music and electronic equipment, right? In May 2012, Thomas Barth was in jail facing two felony charges for pretending to be Gilbert, even misrepresenting himself in emails. Gilbert had been getting complaints about the poser for several months before police nabbed him. Barth pled guilty to two Class D felonies in September, and will likely avoid prison if he pays restitution.
