Brieanna James is hoping summer will last a little longer with her summer love themed "Hot" video, premiering on Taste of Country. The nearly three-minute clip has the 17-year-old singer-songwriter belting about a boy who is just as hot as it is outside.

In the video, James and two friends are seen hanging outside admiring the cute boy washing his car next door. He's too good looking not to say hi to, so James walks on over and soon begins a summer romance. James co-wrote the country-pop tune with Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Krompass, and it features impressive vocals from the teen.

As she drives down the open road with the boy in Ray-Bans and the two get to know each other, they seal their summer love with a sweet kiss beside a bonfire.

James was born in Nashville, Tenn., and raised in Mississippi, and music has been a part of her from an early age. Early influences include Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, both of whom inspired her to act and sing at a child.

In 2008, James' family relocated from Memphis to Los Angeles and she began being featured in local and national commercials for Puppy in My Pocket, Hasbro, Stride Right and many others. In addition to acting, James is a songwriter and has written with several hit songwriters including Keith Follese, Steve Diamond, Clay Mills, Deanna Walker, Richard Harris, Rachel Farley, Brandon Rogers, Nate and Kaelie Highfield.
