Brooke Eden is one of country's feistiest rising performers, and she's continuing her female empowerment focus with her latest single, "Diamonds."

Eden's debut single for Red Bow Records, "Daddy's Money," was an autobiographical working class anthem that cast her in the role of a determined young woman who's had to work for everything she's ever gotten. "Diamonds" builds upon that kind of theme, painting a picture of a group of young women who don't let their humble financial circumstances hold them back from having a good time.

"Shining like diamonds, dancing in the headlights / All the boys are watching us right now / Welcome to the weekend, everybody's drinkin' / Everybody's here to throw it down / Me and all my ladies getting famous in this town / Shining like diamonds, dancing in the headlights / Tonight tonight tonight tonight we shine," Eden sings in the chorus.

Eden co-wrote the song with Chris Destefano and Brett James, two of Nashville's most prominent songwriters. The track is pop-country, with some electronic percussion framing the verses and just enough going on in the sparse instrumentation to hold the listener's ear. But Eden's big, expressive voice is undoubtedly the star of the song, drawing the listener into what otherwise could have been a fairly rote story in a way that makes the characters seem real and relatable.

Key Lyrics: "We can own the night, we don't need no cash / 'Cause we got sparkle, baby, we got class."

Did You Know? Eden sang a duet with Granger Smith on "Crazy as Me," from his Remington album.
