Bucky Covington's tour bus was involved in an accident on I-65 in Birmingham, Ala. on Thursday. A press release indicates that no one was seriously hurt, although a few passengers were taken to the hospital for examination.

The singer was not on board the bus at the time of the accident. He had been dropped off at an appearance; according to his website, Covington played an acoustic lunch at the Tin Roof in Birmingham today. It's not clear at this time what caused the accident, or whether any members of his band or touring family -- including brother Rocky and fiance Katherine -- were on board.

No shows will be affected by the accident. It appears the bus struck something head on, and the press release says Covington will be looking for a new ride soon. However, this weekend's shows in Germantown, Ill. and Kenosha, Wisc. will go on as scheduled.

Earlier this week, the singer released the music video for his new single 'I Wanna Be That Feeling.'
