Cam Performs Stunning Cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’ [Watch]

Watch out, Adele — Cam is right behind ya! If there was anyone left in the country music world who didn’t know Cam is a powerhouse, well, this video is proof. The artist stopped by the Bobby Bones radio show and sang Adele’s new hit “Hello,” a strong pop-infused ballad with a chorus like a gut-punch, and she didn’t miss a note.

The country singer takes a few liberties with the lyrics, adding a bit of her own quirk, but performs the entire song flawlessly. Accompanied by an acoustic and a few strategically-placed BGVs, Cam belts her heart out, perfectly executing the big, compelling notes and the soft vocal runs at every turn.

Cam recently released the music video for her emotional breakout hit “Burning House,” which introduced the country world to her as an artist rather than a behind-the-scenes songwriter. It earned an RIAA gold certification earlier this month. The impressive vocalist is steadily emerging as one of country’s most promising artists, having only released one EP thus far, Welcome to Cam Country. She’s working on a full-length record with her label Arista, which she shares with Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Cam is currently on the JD and Jesus Tour with Chase Rice, which began in early October.
